The Durham Homefries Cooking Classes are for kids ages 8–13 who want to learn to cook with local food! During the Summer, the Homefries meet monthly on the central Market lawn. Classes are led by different cooking instructors and chefs who teach the kids how to shop for local ingredients and follow recipes as well as basic cooking techniques, while having lots of fun in the process! Join the East Coast Greenway Alliance on a leisurely 10-mile cruiser ride touring Durham's community gardens and markets. Mingle at the Durham Farmers' Market before biking to SEEDS Community Garden, Briggs Avenue Community Garden and the Durham Food Co-op.
