Market is Open Saturday February 26 from 10-12! + Market Map

Durham Farmers’ Market is Open Saturday February 26 from 10-12!  The weather forecast is lookin’ good and we are excited to welcome back William Davis to share his poetry at market!  Music by the ever delightful Stephan Hermann

Enjoy the last Saturday of February by shopping local at the DFM!  It’s the perfect time to make a nourishing broth using local meat bones and veggies – or all veggies if that’s your persuasion!  shred some chicken and leafy greens, add a dash of kimchi broth, and a pinch of fresh herbs and you’ve got yourself a nourishing soup to enjoy during these fickle late winter weeks when there’s still a bit of chill in the air!

Spring is just around the corner, though, and the flowers are here to prove it!  Treat yourself to some pastries and a hot cuppa and you’ll be a happy shopper!

Piri is back this week with their nourishing goodness!

There will be a donation station for the Mount Calvary United Church of Christ Food Pantry.

The market tables are looking greener every week and spring is in the air!  There are about three weeks left for sweet potatoes, so make sure you get this NC staple while you can.  The first scallions of the season, tender greens, and some of the last rainbow carrots for now will all be at market this weekend.

You will also enjoy a fine selection of artisan cheeses, grass-fed meats and eggs.  And of course, plenty of delicious local cider and mead to enjoy with your locally inspired meal.

Have a hankering for some sweets?  We have some of the finest pastries to choose from and handmade chocolates, too!  Flowers of the dried and fresh varieties will be a happy addition to your home decor or to share with a friend.

Local jams are an excellent choice for slathering on your favorite sourdough and hot pepper vinegars taste grate drizzled over a kimchi and veggie bowl of grits.

Need a pick me up while you shop?  You will love the coffee and kombucha options at market!  Or if you have a busy week ahead, pick up some nourishing locally prepared foods that are easy to reheat and enjoy!

Pick up your favorite reusable tote for market shopping and keep warm with sweatshirts and baby blankets made by some of our local artists.  You could set nearly your entire dinner table with goods from the market, and why not use a locally crafted cutting board to serve all that fancy cheese on?!
