Welcome, March!

You know what that means…spring is just around the corner! We are noticing many signs of awakening to the coming season, with peach blossoms delighting us with their bright pink blooms, and lots of new late winter flowers inspiring us with their color and hearty growth.

Take your time strolling the market aisles and you’ll see all of your colorful winter favorites. And you’ll probably be surprised by some new finds, and signs of the coming spring harvest all around. Last week, we saw yellow Daffodils all over market, brightening up the morning. Bluebird Meadows, Wild Scallions Farm, Ever Laughter Farm, Meadow Lane Farm, and Harland’s Creek Farm are a few of the booths where you can find the perfect bouquet to take home with you this week.

There are quite a few scrumptious pasture raised meat options on display this week. Beef Kielbasa, Flank Steak, Ostrich Steak, Pork Chops, Short Ribs, Chorizo, Jalapeño Smoked Sausage, Rosemary & Garlic Chicken Sausage, and Ground Bison – Phew! And that’s just to name a few of the headliners on offer at Chapel Hill Creamery, Fickle Creek Farm, Meadow Lane Farm, Misty Morning Ranch, and Sunset Ridge Buffalo Farm.

We could go on and on about all the gorgeous veggies, meat, and flowers you’ll find this week. But don’t fret, of course your favorite bakeries will be at market with the freshest, tastiest baked goods you’ve ever had. And it’s always a good day to find a gift for someone special, or take something home just for you! Lots of handcrafted soaps, pottery, clothing, bags, decor, preserves, and more will be waiting for you TOMORROW from 10a-12p. We can’t wait to see you there!

This Week

* Enjoy live market music by the always entertaining Old North State Jam!

* Catch the folks at The ReCollective community booth to learn about their work with hard-to-recycle items and get your recycle on!
