FAQs

Where is the closest ATM?

There is an ATM at the Pavilion! A portion of the service charge goes to the market and we use that money to support our programs, including Double Bucks and the Sprouts Kid’s Club.

How do I become a volunteer at the market?

We love volunteers and there are many different ways you can get involved at the market! Check out the volunteer page of our website for details or emails us at info@durhamfarmersmarket.com for more information.

We are not accepting non-profit/information booths at market at this time.

Can I hand out flyers to vendors and customers?

We don’t allow solicitation of any sort at the market. If you are a non-profit and want to set up a booth, please see question above.

I have a food truck. Can I sell at the market?

We don’t have food trucks at the market. But, check out our neighbors, the Hunt Street Art & Food Truck Market or Art Market Durham by Cecy’s Gallery. They’re right around the corner and are open at the same time as our Saturday Market.

Do you sell Durham Farmers’ Market merchandise?

Yes! We sell T-shirts and tote bags with the market logo. We sell onesies as well as shirts in toddler, children’s, women’s, and unisex sizes. Merchandise is available for purchase at the market’s info table (located near the pavilion restrooms).

Do you sell gift certificates?

How do I become a vendor?

The Durham Farmers’ Market typically accepts applications for new vendors December through January for the upcoming season. We require that all applicants and vendors grow or make everything that they sell and are located within 70 miles of Durham. Please read our Prospective Vendor page for more information.

If you are a craft vendor or it is not currently our open application window, you may want to consider applying to the Durham Craft Market or Art Market Durham hosted by Cecy’s Gallery.

Do you accept SNAP/EBT?

Yes! We accept SNAP/EBT and also offer Double Bucks, which matches every dollar you spend on your EBT card up to $10 per market. So if you swipe for $10, you can receive $20 in tokens to spend on fresh produce and food products. To use your EBT card, just visit the info table and a staff member will assist you. You can swipe your card for any amount, and you will receive wooden tokens worth $1 each that can be spent only at the DFM.

Do the vendors take credit cards?

Most, but not all vendors, will take credit cards at market.
