CFSA Piedmont Farm Tour, welcoming new vendors & more!

After a rainy start to the new season last weekend, we’re looking forward to warmer temperatures this Saturday. We’re very excited to welcome Chef Xavier Pino and the Bull City Vegan Challenge to the market for a cooking demo at 10:00 am. They are cooking hempeh with chermoula sauce and sautéed savory collards. Trust us – you don’t want to miss sampling this delicious meal. Swing by the lawn while you stroll through the market and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Now is the perfect time to start working on your garden and you’ll find all of the plant starts that you need at the market. Swing by on Saturday and take some extra time to chat with your farmers about growing tips. Also, the Master Gardeners will be at the market next Saturday if you have further questions after starting your garden this weekend.

Finally, don’t forget to mark your calendar for CFSA’s Piedmont Farm Tour, which will be on April 28-29. You can purchase buttons at the Info Table and pick up a brochure to plan your route to the farms. This is one of the best weekends of the year and you don’t want to miss this fun event.
