Celebrate National Farmers Market Week at the DFM!
Join us tomorrow 8am-12pm as we celebrate the joy of farmers markets! We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate our vendors, local food, and of course, our incredible community (that’s you!) Here’s what we’ve got lined up:
* RAFFLES! Enter to win a raffle basket full of market goodies from some of your favorite market vendors!
* Photo Booth – Make a few memories and capture the moment with a polaroid picture at the photo booth
* Live Music – enjoy live market music on Foster Street with local musician Remona Jeannine
* Show your love of the DFM by casting your voting for us & sharing your snapshots of your favorite things about market on social media!
Why do we love shopping at local markets? Check out the top 5 reasons below and share with us what you love!
1.) Preserve farmland
2.) Stimulate local economies
3.) Increase access to nutritious food
4.) Support healthy communities
5.) Promote sustainability
We look forward to welcoming you to market to share in the local produce, meat, eggs, cheese, bread, crafts, and more! All vendors at the market come from 70 miles away or less. This means that the produce was most likely picked just the day before, making sure that it is as fresh as possible! Farmers love to share their favorite recipes or tell you how your food was grown, making farmers’ markets a very special place to shop.
Vote for the DFM in the America’s Farmers Market Celebration!
What better way to celebrate National Farmers Market Week than by voting for your favorite market?

It only takes a moment and a couple of clicks to make a big ol’ difference. And we’d love it if you could help us spread the word by sharing with your work place, friends, and family.
