Market is OPEN October 21st, 8am – 12pm!

Sun is on the way, and it’s going to be a beautiful day for the farmers market!

Join us for all the fall vibes & good eats!

We’ve got a fun couple weeks ahead of us at the Durham Farmers’ Market! Scroll down to see what community events we have coming up this week, including a Community Circle Sing this Saturday, and our Durham Big Sweep party and Halloween celebration next week. We wrapped up our last Wednesday Midweek Market this week, and we are filled with gratitude for everyone who filled the season with joy, connection, & really good food of course!

Our farmers & creators are really getting into the fall spirit these days, with cozy meals and wholesome ingredients, fall decor and gifts, & lots of pumpkins, squash, and other quintessential fall veggies. Not to mention the gorgeous array of fall floral blooms that you can find at booths like Bluebird Meadows, Wild Scallions, Hurtgen Meadows, & Ever Laughter Farm, as well as live plant at Bonlee Grown Farm, Flat River Farm, and Flowering Earth Natives. The trees are starting to light up with color, and the Saturday morning market space is aflame with the colors of the season. We can’t wait to see you there!

Raise Our Voices Together

Community Circle Sing

Join us TOMORROW, October 21st from 10:00-11:00am for a Community Circle Sing on the lawn at Durham Central Park!

Let’s Resonate the Sound of Togetherness

Humans have gathered in song for thousands of years: to celebrate, to memorialize, to grieve and to connect. Everyone was a part of the musical landscape, in our ancestry. Everyone contributed and was a valuable addition, regardless of what we now call “talent” or “pleasingness” of sound. There is no exclusivity to singing and using your voice in community here. This is a free, open-hearted, improvisational, supportive, safe opportunity to come together, raise our voices, dissolve barriers and have a unique experience. Facilitated by Karen Novy, Durham Vocal Guide and Teaching Artist

Free & open to the public,

All voices welcome

No experience required

Durham Big Sweep

Wednesday, October 25th 3:00-5:00pm – Meet at the Durham Central Park Pavilion

Come on out to enjoy one last Wednesday afternoon with us in the park by joining our volunteer cleanup crew! To show our appreciation for the space where we gather week after week, the DFM is hosting a group of volunteers to pick up litter all around Durham Central Park.

Big Sweep is coordinated by Keep Durham Beautiful, the City of Durham Stormwater Services Division, and County Soil and Water Conservation District, with help from other City and County departments. It is the biggest litter removal event of the year, with over 210,000 pounds of litter removed since 2005.
