Elodie Farms is a historic tobacco farm turned goat dairy in Rougemont, NC, about 25 minutes north of Durham. Their farm is home to free-range dairy goats that browse happily amidst hundred-year old trees, old tobacco barns and a natural lake. Sandra and Ted make fresh goat cheeses using milk exclusively from their goats and the whey leftover from cheese production is used to make whey crackers. They also make cajeta (goat milk caramel) and blackberry goat cheese mousse. In addition to their dairy products, Elodie Farms offers monthly farm dinners on the second Saturday of the month, farm tours on the third Saturday of the month, and private events including birthday parties for children, private tours, and dinners. Elodie Farms is owned and operated by husband and wife, Ted Domville and Sandra Vergara.
