October is here! Celebrate the season of cozy meals, pumpkin carving, and halloween costumes with the DFM!
The market is full of colorful pumpkins, tender fall squash for roasting, luscious greens, and fall flowers. But don’t worry, if you’re still sad about saying goodbye to summer, there is still plenty of watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers, and lots of other late season summer produce for you.
This week we’ve got a great Wednesday Market line up! Bouquet Garni Foods and Soul Cocina will be here with their flavorful entrees, snacks, and juices; Celebrity Dairy will have their gelato as well as goat cheese chevre and other goat-milk products; Harland’s Creek, Huanong Ecorganics, Hurtgen Meadows, Lyon Farms, and Wild Scallions are flush with produce and flowers; Bull City Farm will be here with a wide variety of pastured chicken, pork, and beef (as well as fresh eggs by the dozen); Tulip Poplar Honey is back with raw honey and beeswax products; and of course we’ll have lots of coffee from 321 Coffee and pastries from Loaf, Ninth Street, and Strong Arm!
