Happy Wednesday Market! Come enjoy live music while you pick up all your midweek groceries, flowers, and snacks. Or make an afternoon of it and join community outdoor yoga class after you shop!
We are looking forward to September and all the coming fall produce, activities, and weather. As the month progresses, we’ll see more and more of those fall favorites like winter squash, pumpkins, cool weather greens, etc. This week at market there are lots of beautiful fall apples and pears and butternut squash, along with many summer fruits and veggies that are still going strong – figs, tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, okra, string beans, cantaloupe, yellow squash, and corn.
Check out the newsletter link below for a delicious recipe for lamb liver paté, provided by one of our DFM vendors. Moon Belly Meat is back this week with select meat cuts and mouthwatering hand-made pork sausages like Chimichurri and Korean BBQ.
The Museum of Life and Science will be back next week with more kids educational activities in honor of National Food as Medicine week.
